How to donate by Interac
Interac e-Transfer is a secure and convenient way to send money directly from your bank account to another person or organization. The church has set up donations@connectcommunitychurch.ca to automatically accept transfers, so no security question is required.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Log into Your Online Banking
- Open your bank’s website or mobile banking app.
- Sign in to your online banking account.
2. Locate the Interac e-Transfer Section
- Look for “Interac e-Transfer” or “Send Money” in the menu.
- Different banks may have this in different sections, such as “Transfers” or “Payments.”
3. Add the Church as a Recipient (if needed)
- If this is your first time donating, you’ll need to add a new recipient.
- Enter the following details:
- Name: Connect Community Church (or anything meaningful to you)
- Email: donations@connectcommunitychurch.ca
- Some banks may ask for a phone number, but this is not necessary.
4. Enter the Transfer Amount
- Input the amount you wish to donate.
5. No Security Question Required
- Since the church has auto-deposit enabled, you do not need to set up a security question.
- The funds will be deposited automatically into the church’s account.
6. Add a Message (Optional)
- If you want to specify the purpose of your donation (e.g., “Tithes,” “Missions,” “General Offering”), you can include this in the message section.
7. Review and Confirm
- Double-check that the email address is donations@connectcommunitychurch.ca.
- Verify the amount is correct.
- Confirm and send the transfer.
8. Receive Confirmation
- Your bank will send you a confirmation email or notification once the transfer has been completed.
- The church will receive the funds instantly or within a few minutes.
